TDWellbeing, Tracey Davies, Social Worker, Mental Health, Therapy, Counselling, Anxiety, CBT

At TD Wellbeing, I work from the understanding that you are the expert in your own life.

My role is to provide a safe, structured and supportive space where we can explore what is happening, make sense of your experiences and work together toward meaningful and practical change.

When life feels overwhelming, therapy can help create clarity, stability and new ways forward.

Support is tailored to your individual needs and goals across different stages in life.

Therapeutic Approaches

I draw on a range of evidence informed approached, tailored to each persons needs rather than a one size fits all model.

CBT

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

CBT focuses on how thoughts, emotions and behaviours influence each other.  It helps identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop more balanced ways of responding, alongside practical coping strategies.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

EMDR supports the processing of distress or traumatic experiences that may continue to affect how you feel and respond in the present.  It aims to reduce the emotional intensity attached to past experiences.

DBT

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy

DBT skills focus on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and mindfulness to support coping during difficult or intense emotional experiences.

SFBT

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy

SFBT focuses on the persons strengths and their goals, rather than the problems and causes. SFBT uses techniques to help the client discover and amplify their own solutions.

ACT

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

ACT supports psychological flexibility by helping people make space for difficult thoughts and feelings while taking action aligned with personal values.

NT

Narrative Therapy

Narrative approaches focus on separating the person from the problem and exploring personal strengths, values and meaning in their lived experience.

PE

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation teaches people about their mental health condition. It helps them understand the symptoms, causes, effects, and treatments of their diagnosis. It gives information about medication, recovery, and coping strategies. Psychoeducation is not a therapy, but it can support other forms of therapy and improve the outcomes.

SK

Skills Training

Skills training includes problem solving skills and training, anger management, social skills training, communication training, stress management and parent management training.

RS

Relaxation Strategies

Includes breathing techniques and body based strategies calming the nervous system and reducing psychological stress responses.

How I Work

My approach is:
  • trauma informed
  • person centred
  • strengths focused
  • grounded in evidence informed practice

Sessions are collaborative, paced appropriately and regularly reviewed to ensure they remain helpful and relevant.
